Revenue and Cash Payouts

Some Notes From Update : June 27, 2007 at 4:56 am
  • We are crossing 20% activation and hope to exceed 50% by the end of the summer. New verified Member signups are back near record levels and growing.

Now that we are more comfortable with the website stability, we will also begin updating the website more frequently again.

  • As far as the ads go, I am pleased to announce that we have just reached an agreement to make major improvements toward increased Viewbar revenue.

As noted earlier, we launched the Viewbar and our ad volume swamped the ad server of our third party supplier. While it has improved, the current system is still not working up to the standards needed (weak rotation ability and unable to connect properly with several networks). Given that the current state of affairs makes it difficult to implement our search, profile and geographic targeting (which are necessary to make Viewbar ads effective), we sought a new arrangement which will give all that to AGLOCO. This will take 5 to 6 weeks to be activated. As a result, revenue for the months of June and July will be low, as the current system cannot be improved any faster.

  • We will also have the ability for an AGLOCO online ad auction system like Google’s AdSense so advertisers will be able to buy Viewbar ads directly.
Our new ad system will have a country specific system for advertisers (we are told that this will be available at the end of the summer and not for all countries). At that point we will likely have to ask each Member for a language preference to make the advertisers aware. Keep in mind that it is very costly to support multiple languages, so additional supported languages will probably not be forthcoming before that.
  • In order to reach profitability quickly (which is necessary to make cash distributions to Members - as I will detail below), we keep AGLOCO expenses to a minimum.
Members often ask when they will be paid by AGLOCO, and how much they will be paid. I must admit that I have a bit of hesitation to address this issue, only because I do not want Members to misunderstand anything I say and/or take it as a “promise or prediction” of what AGLOCO will exactly do in the future. So, I will write the following with the disclaimer that everything I say below, specifically regarding when Members will be paid or how much, is only an illustration and does not constitute a promise of any sort.
Here is some information about cash payments in “FAQ” form.
The simple answer is that it depends on “when AGLOCO makes enough money to both pay Members and be a sustainable business”. But, by using the Viewbar you are accumulating credit towards the cash payments right now (more on that below).
Also, as some Members have correctly pointed out, AGLOCO’s early revenue will not immediately translate into cash distributions to Members. While we do not know how large our the cash payouts will not begin until there is a comfortable balance between AGLOCO’s free cash flow and AGLOCO’s expenses. It is important to add that all Members will begin to accumulate hours from when they first start using the Viewbar (and referral hours will also be earned). Those hours will not be wasted. Both overall hours and monthly hours will be used in determining distributions to Members
-Cash Distributions: To be a sustainable entity in the long term, AGLOCO makes Member cash distributions from its positive cash flow (revenue minus costs).
-AGLOCO will be keeping Members informed of our financials (after a few months, when we start getting realistic numbers) so they can track our progress on this. At this point, if our new ad system is operational in August, we should be able to give meaningful numbers for September.
Before the cash payments begin we will verify your billing information and ask you to specify how you would like to be paid. We currently plan to have several forms of payment available, including check, direct deposit, and PayPal. Remember that only one account per Member is allowed.
Yes, a minimum will be required to keep transfer costs down. All sums not distributed are accumulated in the Member’s AGLOCO account until the minimum is reached.
So, here are three of the potential ways AGLOCO can pay Members. As you know, when you use the Viewbar you accumulate hours (currently up to 5 hours/month, and plus a credit of referral hours at a 25% rate). These hours, both your monthly totals and your overall accumulated hours, are the basis for cash distributions.

1-Monthy Viewbar hours: Based on the hours you and your referrals surf each month, you will get a share of the “distribution pie”. Your share is equal to your percentage of the total hours accumulated by all Members (including referral hours).
How would this work? Here is a hypothetical example. Suppose in a given month AGLOCO distributes $100,000 for that month’s hour accumulation. Also suppose that the total hours all Members have accumulated that month is 1,000,000 hours. This means that AGLOCO would pay $0.10 for each hour you are credited with that month. So in this example if you had accumulated (yourself plus referrals) 500 hours that month, you would be paid $50.

2-Total Viewbar hours: AGLOCO may also pay in the same manner as above based on total accumulated hours. This would “weight” the payment more towards those Members who joined and began accumulating hours earlier (including the time before the cash payouts have begun).

3-AGLOCO buying Hours for Cash: Here’s how it would work. AGLOCO would set a price per hour (say, $0.15), and we allow Members to sell their hours back to us at that rate. There would likely be a minimum number of hours you could sell. For instance, AGLOCO may only allow you to sell in 100-hour blocks. Hours that you sell would be deducted from your total accumulated hours for future distributions.
Our website talks about paying Members in “cash and shares”. As I’ve said before, I need to stay away from talking about “shares” in this blog. The lawyers would kill me if I went anywhere near talking about it because it is too easy to unwittingly violate a country’s securities laws.
  • AGLOCO is not a “get rich quick” scheme and never will be. By steadily using the Viewbar and building a sustainable business, we can make sure that Members will get distributions for years and years as we improve the usefulness of the Viewbar as a part of each Member’s desktop.

Walk Before Running

6/18 1:05AM PDT) Update:

We have now made the Viewbar available for download on tucows.com, a trusted software download website. The download button on your account page should now point to the Viewbar download page on tucows. This should help free up our servers to accommodate the website traffic. We will continue to monitor this.

( You can download your viewbar immediately using the link below:

http://www.tucows.com/get/513386_205985 )

(6/13 9:31PM PDT) Update:

We just initiated the auto-upgrade for the Viewbar software to v1.03. This has fixes to many of the stability bugs some Members have experienced. If you previously experienced problems with your Viewbar, try running it again now with this updated version and it should work.

Our stats tell us that most currently active Viewbars seem to have been updated just fine by now. If you get a message telling you that your Viewbar has expired, restart the Viewbar and it should initiate the automatic upgrade. If that still doesn’t work, right-click the AGLOCO icon in the Windows task bar (a green “o”) and select “options”. Then click the button to “check for updates” in the “General” tab.

For this update we made some changes that require we simultaneously invalidate the old Viewbar version for stability reasons, but most future auto-updates will occur seamlessly.

  • Now that AGLOCO has launched the Viewbar (we released it on June 4th so we are 8 days “old”), we should start to make steady progress. Here’s a big picture view of where we’re going over the next few months. I see things in three major phases, with some overlap between them.

The first order of business is to get the Viewbar (and our website) stable – with rotating ads.

  • Viewbar Stability: We will be releasing an updated version of the Viewbar software within a week that will take care of some of the remaining ‘bugs’, and we will continue to stabilize the software. If you already have the Viewbar, you do not need to do anything to get this new version, as your Viewbar should automatically self-update with it. For the most part it seems these remaining ‘bugs’ appear minor and only affect a very limited number of members. This is good. This means we can put our primary emphasis on the next phase of the Viewbar while leaving a small team to work on the minor bugs.

  • Website Stability: We will be making the Viewbar software available on one trusted alternate download site (we are picking it now and it will be all set up before we send a Viewbar download “reminder” email to the Membership). This should help our servers balance the website traffic with the stress of the download process. We will continue to make adjustments and improvements to our servers in order to improve performance for those browsing (so there are no disruptions to the sign-up process for new Members in the future).

  • Ad rotation: We are working with the ad server people to optimize this process. The way they initially rotated the ads was crashing their servers with all the Viewbars asking for ads, so they have needed to improvise. Now it seems that some Members are getting rotating ads and others aren’t, depending on browser settings and computer environment. They are working on solutions so their ads show up on all Viewbars, regardless of computer environment or settings. I do not know how long this will take, but we have seen a steady improvement in the number of users who get rotating ads, so it seems progress is being made.

The next phase for AGLOCO is the maximizing of Viewbar revenue. This is an important goal, as we have fairly fixed costs so the more revenue we generate (especially more revenue per Viewbar), the more each Member will receive. There are lots of steps that will need to be taken in the coming months to improve AGLOCO’s revenue including:

1. Improving our search and ad revenue sources and sharing agreements. As more Members use the Viewbar, our bargaining power grows.

2. Start the Viewbar targeting system. One part of this system will focus ads based on your searches and surfing. Another part of this system will focus ads based on where you live (of course, AGLOCO will need to have a contract with ad networks in each of these countries to provide local ads in local countries).

3. Better inform Members of the revenue generating opportunities on the Viewbar.

4. Continue to work with existing Members who have not yet activated their Viewbars. We expect that after the initial spike of downloads this process will be one of gradual adoption. New Members signing up will have access to the Viewbar right away.

5. Continue to make improvements to encourage continued viral growth of the AGLOCO Membership. This includes website improvements, increased Viewbar functionality, and an opt-in Member-to-Member communication system.

Maximizing revenue is extremely important to AGLOCO, since cash distributions will come from AGLOCO’s positive earnings (revenue exceeding expenses). There is some information available on the AGLOCO website and in previous posts to this blog, but I will talk more about this important stage of AGLOCO’s future in my next post. I won’t be giving exact payment dates nor a fixed hourly rate prediction (as AGLOCO cannot predict future revenues per Member), but I will talk more about how the distributions will work.

Download Your Viewbar

Some Notes From Viewbar Download Updates:

- I am happy to announce that the Viewbar has been released. (The software is functioning fine, but it appears to have overloaded the ad servers in the initial surge)

- ALL Members will be sent an email inviting them to download. Also, we will send additional emails to those who have not logged any time on the Viewbar servers, reminiding them to download their Viewbar (this will happen after the initial “rush” has passed)

- We have sent emails to a little over 1/3 of the Members.

- Right now we are giving almost instantaneous hour calculations on the account page. We will be changing this to daily updates (as it says on the account page) in a few days. We wanted to start with instantaneous so that early users would see that it is working, but when more and more people start checking hours it would overload our database server so we will go to daily (this impacts the back-end database load but doesn’t impact the website performance).

- Referral hours are calculated to the person who referred them at a 25% rate (so if one of your referrals surfs for 5 hours this will show up in your account as 1.25 hours).

- DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE VIEWBAR FROM ANY SITE OTHER THAN THE AGLOCO.COM MEMBER AREA!

- Your Viewbar should now say “Ads to appear here shortly, Click for Viewbar FAQ”.
If it does not say that or have an ad up, quit the Viewbar then using your start menu relaunch a new Viewbar (the AGLOCO Viewbar should be a choice in your start menu after download).

- As you can see, the ad servers are connected properly to the Viewbar, but the ad server folks are still working on rebooting the rotation of the ads from their end.

- We are aware that there is some backlog to access the website and download the Viewbar. As we say in our notification email (a “timed-out” or “no access” page may appear). If this happens, please try again after a short while.

- All of the preliminary Viewbar functions are there, but with the ad problems we will not be initially launching with the personalized ad targeting. We will continue to develop this capability after we have launched and when it is available the new version of the software will be incorporated into your viewbar automatically.

- If you have a Norton firewall you may be asked to allow access to “viewbar.exe” and “update.exe” (please check “Permit Access Always” for proper installation of the Viewbar).

- The Viewbar is currently available for Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Vista and will work with IE (Internet Explorer) or Firefox browsers.

- We sincerely appreciate any bug reports we may not already be aware of or usage questions you may have. Please send them to both help@agloco.com .

Viewbar Release This Monday (Tuesday in Asia)

If the transfer goes smoothly, the first download emails will be going out Monday morning California time (early Tuesday in Asia)

We have made a workaround regarding the ad server problem and we will finally be launching the Viewbar. Some, but not all, of our ad networks will be connected. These networks have enough ads on them, so we are comfortable releasing the software as we continue to work on the outstanding issues that remain with the other networks. All of the preliminary Viewbar functions are there, but with the ad problems we will not be initially launching with the personalized ad targeting. We will continue to develop this capability after we have launched and when it is available the new version of the software will be incorporated into your viewbar automatically.

Remember that this is the first version of the Viewbar (v1.0), and with the Viewbar being automatically self-updating software, gradual improvement (both aesthetically and functionally) will appear seamlessly (you also have an option to turn off this feature and ask for updates manually, though we recommend leaving the auto-updating feature active so that you always have the latest software as improvements are made).

This weekend the Viewbar download is being moved from the test servers to the main servers. We will NOT need to temporarily take down the web site as we had thought, so we will not be sending out an email warning on that. If the transfer goes smoothly, the first download emails will be going out Monday morning California time (early Tuesday in Asia).

Please remember:

If you have a Norton firewall you may be asked to allow access to “viewbar.exe” and “update.exe” (please check “Permit Access Always” for proper installation of the Viewbar).

The Viewbar is currently available for Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Vista and will work with IE (Internet Explorer) or Firefox browsers.

I’m sure you are all just as ready for the Viewbar release as we are!

GLOBAL DOMAINS INTERNATIONAL RANKS #37 ON 2002`s INC 500 LIST

Congratulations! You have just come across something that has the power to change your life for the better, forever.

We offer a week-long free trial of our entire package, no strings attached.

The domain industry is exploding! Industry experts predict that over 500 Million domains will be active annually within the next ten years. GDI has no competition in the network marketing industry. We are the only company that has the ability to market our domain names through the power of network marketing, and we're willing to pay you handsomely for helping us get the word out worldwide. If you have already taken a moment to watch our exciting, brief presentation, you already know this. If you haven't, then click here and "Get Ready for the Ride of Your Life!". Or, try out our income calculator and imagine the unlimited potential of this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Ways You are Compensated

5-Level Uni-Level Compensation

This is our standard compensation plan that ALL affiliates qualify for, even those who are still in their free trial period. Basically, you are paid $1 per month, per domain, that is registered in your 5 level network. A uni-level compensation plan is the most simple plan in network marketing, and the key to our quick growth.

You are not limited by width. You can refer as many people as you want to, and so can those people that you refer, and so on.

Here's an example. You refer 5 people to our product/program. That pays you $5 per month. No big deal? Hang on, you'll see the power of this. Each of those 5 people then refer 5 of their own, so you're now getting paid an additional $25 per month on your "second level". Each of those 25 can refer as many as they want, but for consistency we'll say that they too refer 5 each. That's $125 in monthly commissions on your 3rd level. If the trend continues, you'll have $625 in monthly commissions on your 4th level, and $3,125 in monthly commissions on your 5th level.

That's a total of over $3,900 in monthly commissions for referring 5 people, and then teaching those people how to do the same and assisting them in growing their own organizations. Keep in mind that nobody is limited in how many people they can refer. Some of our affiliates personally refer hundreds of other affiliates. Just a couple of these "go-getters" in your organization can really blow your income off the charts. Here's a graphical example of our uni-level plan.

GLOBAL DOMAINS INTERNATIONAL RANKS #37 ON 2002'S INC 500 LIST OF FASTEST GROWING PRIVATE COMPANIES

The ranking will appear in the magazine's special Inc 500 issue, which hits newsstands on October 15.

Global Domains International achieved 3479% growth in the past five years, ranking #37 on the list of 500 fastest growing companies in the United States, #5 in California, and #2 in San Diego with sales growing from $261,000 in 1997 to $9,341,000 in 2001.

(NASDAQ: CSCO) and AT&T (NYSE: T).

Growth in the .ws "web site" domain namespace is stronger on a percentage basis than .com domain names and is poised to become an international standard for Internet addresses globally.
"It is exciting and gratifying to be included in Inc magazine's extremely prestigious ranking," said Michael Reed, GDI's Co-Founder and CEO. "It shows the spectacular results that may be achieved through focus and teamwork. Earning the number 37 spot out of the 500 fastest growing companies in the USA is a fantastic achievement for us."

Started in 1982, the Inc 500 ranks the nation's leading entrepreneurial firms according to sales growth over the previous five years. Former Inc 500 companies that have gone on to become household names include Microsoft, Timberland, Domino's Pizza and Patagonia.

7- LINKREFERRAL : By registering, you'll benefit several ways.

The Linkreferral Concept
Striving to provide an affordable alternative to search engines and banner ad campaigns which give mediocre results. Four pronged approach to developing free traffic for our members is described below,

Members directory traffic - By joining, you will be included in members directory which is visited by community of over 100,000 members, and thousands of outside visitors on a daily basis. You'll have the opportunity to earn a ranking at the top of your category, absolutely free! Receive valuable feedback from visitors of your website, network with your peers, and give your opinion on other websites in the directory. The more you participate, the more you get in return! (more details)

Referral based traffic - You are probably familiar with the concept of network marketing, well this is a free version of that marketing method - by registering and promoting your linkreferral affiliate link, an exponential growth of 5 levels of referrals can be created (ex. you refer 10 people who refer 10 people each who refer 10 each....), potentially 10,000s of visitors/day all viewing your link prominently in the top spot of 'Featured Sites' section on our home page for your referral ID. It works because its free, fast to register, easy to implement and no risk. People that are referred from your site will have nothing to lose and everything to gain, just like you. (more details)

Search engine traffic - By registering, you'll benefit several ways, including,

1) having your webpage listing indexed more quickly - the major search engines continously spider our site, and the sites listed in our directory.

2) Improved search engine rankings and SEO optimization.

3) Indirect search engine traffic via linkreferral.com. Pages such as your directory listing and your affiliate page listing feature your link and description, are picked up by all the major search engines. Your sign-up description, combined with our strong traffic base (a prime ranking factor for most major search engines) can pull in a significant immediate steady stream of traffic to your listing on linkreferral.com and then on to your web site.

8- WEBBIZINSIDER : This is one of the favorite traffic exchanges.

This hit exchange works on a simple basic principle. By joining their membership, you agree to look at other members opportunities and websites, and in exchange, they will look at your website. It is cooperation, pure and simple. If you contribute more to community, you will receive more back. They track your contribution by using credits. When you engage in activities that help other members, such as surfing their sites, you earn credits. When other members view your site, your credits are used up. It is that simple.

Agloco Referral Tips

The referral center will give you some referral tips and answers to questions that will help you make the most of your Membership and to build your own piece of the Economic Network.

Your personal automatic referral link is http://www.agloco.com/r/ your Member ID

Send this referral link to friends in emails or display this link in your own blogs or on your own website so when people use this link to sign up you will receive the referral credit.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Referring friends face to face

Talking to friends about joining AGLOCO face to face or on the telephone has the highest chance of getting a new referral. You get to hear the friends questions and answer them on the spot.

Referring friends through email

Emails are a great way to tell your friends and family about your AGLOCO membership and to encourage them to join as your referral. There is a wealth of possible referrals all around you. You must however, keep in mind proper online messaging etiquette and the spirit of our Anti-Spam policy while making referrals.

You may email anyone you know to tell them about our program. This extends to friends and family, business associates and mailing lists where the recipients have opted-in for messages like this. Below is a sample email you can look at.

Sample email

Dear ______,

I recently joined
AGLOCO because of a friend recommended it to me. I am now promoting it to you because I like the idea and I want you to share in what I think will be an exciting new Internet concept.

AGLOCO’s story is simple:

Do you realize how valuable you are? Advertisers, search providers and online retailers are paying billions to reach you while you surf. How much of that money are you making? NONE!
AGLOCO thinks you deserve a piece of the action.

AGLOCO collects money from those companies on behalf of its members. (For example, Google currently pays AOL 10 cents for every Google search by an AOL user. And Google still has enough profit to pay $1.6 billion dollars for YouTube, an 18-month old site full of content that YouTube’s users did not get paid for!

AGLOCO will work to get its Members their share of this and more.

AGLOCO is building a new form of online community that they call an Economic Network. They are not only paying Members their fair share, but they’re building a community that will generate the kind of fortune that YouTube made. But instead of that wealth making only a few people rich, the entire community will get its share.

What's the catch? No catch - no spyware, no pop-ups and no spam - membership and software are free and
AGLOCO is 100% member owned. Privacy is a core value and AGLOCO never sells or rents member information.

So do both of us a favor: Sign up for AGLOCO right now! If you use this link to sign up, I automatically get credit for referring you and helping to build AGLOCO. http://www.agloco.com/r/your Member ID

Thanks

Please understand that AGLOCO has a more stringent policy regarding many kinds of spam than other sites on the Internet, and we enforce our anti-spam policy rigorously. We strongly recommend that you review it closely prior to sending out any quantity of emails.

When emailing people about AGLOCO, ensure that you have established a previous relationship with that individual. Making reference to your previous relationship will ensure that your referral email is received well. For example, “You are receiving this email from Business Today, the opt-in mailing list you have subscribed to for information on business opportunities.”

Many of our members include an AGLOCO referral link at the end of every email they send. Once you set up the link as an email "auto signature," it will be included at the end of all your email messages (until you choose to remove it.) The link can include your personal member ID number, so anyone who joins AGLOCO through your link will be credited as your referral.

Referring friends through Blogs and Websites

If you have your own Blog or Website, it’s a perfect place to advertise your AGLOCO membership and to encourage your readers to sign up. The more you discuss AGLOCO on your blog, the more your blog will be indexed by search engines and the more visitors you may receive. Please note, however, that posting unsolicited comments to the blogs or websites of other people may be a violation of our anti-spam policy. So please use good judgment when including your AGLOCO referral information in comments on other people’s blogs.

Referring friends through message boards

Each type of posting and individual host will have their own regulations. Please review the guidelines set by the posting area to ensure that you are adhering to all of their guidelines. Although some postings may not be in violation of AGLOCO’s specific anti-spam policies, breaking someone else’s rules will get you in trouble, so be informed.

When posting on a message board or Usenet newsgroup, make sure you are posting on topic, and not posting to too many boards or too frequently. One posting about AGLOCO might draw referrals, but multiple postings become a nuisance. Please post your messages responsibly.

There are many message boards where messages about AGLOCO are appropriate, and many where they aren’t, so use good judgment. Keep your content honest and on point. Misleading your potential referrals is not only a violation of the AGLOCO membership agreement, but also a blow to the integrity of our company.

Referring friends using chat and IM

Each chat room and Instant Message service has its own sets of rules and regulations. Make sure you familiarize yourself with the guidelines of your chat room before entering. Chat rooms are often topic specific, and just as in message boards, you must make sure that any conversation about AGLOCO is appropriate and permissible under the rules of that forum. A chat room devoted to making money on the web is a perfect place for an AGLOCO discussion.

As always, keep your content honest and on point. Misleading your potential referrals is not only a violation of the AGLOCO membership agreement, but also a blow to the integrity of our company. Please refrain from associating AGLOCO or your account with material that AGLOCO considers objectionable. Techniques such as repeatedly sending referral URLs or other promotional messages are not permitted.

Referring friends in the offline world

Talk to your friends about AGLOCO! Members are already putting their referral links on business cards, signs, bumper stickers and flyers. These promotion tactics must fall within the bounds of your local laws, rules, or regulations.

Accordingly, the distribution of flyers or handbills on private property or where prohibited in any fashion is a violation of the Membership Agreement. This includes but is not limited to, littering private or public property with flyers or cards, placing illegal road signs or plastering surfaces with posters or stickers.

If you wish to advertise your referral link in a local or wide coverage newsletter or newspaper, AGLOCO asks that you personalize your advertisement. Your ad must not make any misrepresentations to any of Your Referrals or potential Referrals with respect to compensation typically received by AGLOCO members or with respect to compensation that potential members are likely to receive.

Make sure the content you are presenting is consistent with AGLOCO’s family friendly policies and content guidelines.

How do referral links work?

To make it easier to refer your friends to AGLOCO, we have set up our website to let you link directly to a sign-up page that will automatically mark that visitor as your referral. The link follows a simple pattern:

http://www.agloco.com/r/****####

(where ****#### represents your Member ID)

When people use that link, your ID is automatically embedded into the system and you will receive the referral credit.

The bigger the AGLOCO network gets, the more valuable every Member becomes, and the more you make from the system. The larger AGLOCO is, the better our ability to generate revenue for our Members.

Top 7 AGLOCO Offline Advertising Ideas

Here is an original write-up by "http://doyouagloco.blogspot.com" which suggests seven good (and a little bit different) ways to promote AGLOCO offline. You may want to take a look.

Don’t stop now, as advertising for Agloco picks up over the internet and the release of the viewbar approaches you might want to shift your advertising focuses offline. Here are my top 7 ways to advertise offline.

1) Place ads in your local newspapers. A newspaper with a large circulation might cost you up to $100 an ad but you will reach thousands of potential referrals. Community newspapers are also another viable option with a price tag of under $50 per ad. Unlike internet advertising you are likely to reach thousands who have never heard about Agloco.

2) Flyers! Flyers! Flyers! They are cheap and very effective. Post them around colleges, high schools, community centers, grocery stores, or even at your church. I am currently using the flyer from Agloco-Stock.com.

3) Want to reach your referrals directly? Drive around for an hour and place flyers on your neighbors mailboxes.

4) Random advertising. Try leaving an Agloco information card at a restaurant, I’m sure your waitress or busboy would want to know about Agloco. Ask to leave some flyers at a fast food restaurant or local business. Be creative, but keep it legal and don’t litter.

5) Advertise on your vehicle. For a decent price you can get some nice looking magnets added to your car. Why not go overboard? I know I have caught myself staring at a car covered in bumper stickers or any other various object.

6) TV commercial!?!? Go ahead and call me outrageous. But, there will be someone to try it, whether it can be profitable I have no clue. If it is done properly it will be profitable, heck even AllAdvantage had commercials.

7) Wear Agloco! What a better way to show people that you believe in Agloco. You better believe you will be asked the question, “What’s Agloco?” They have opened the door for you, now its your job to let them in. Check out the Agloco You Store to purchase any of your Agloco shirts, buttons or hats.

Remember Agloco will spread quickest by word of mouth, do not be afraid to bring up Agloco in a conversation with a friend, family member, or even a stranger. Let’s keep this thing rolling, more updates to come.

7 Habits of Highly Effective AGLOCO People

Source : www.aglocoblog.net

The seven habits from the highly popular book “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen Covey have motivated us in our search for success with AGLOCO.

Habit 1: Be Proactive

Be determined in your search to build your network. Marketing is key to getting referrals and you should use as many types of marketing techniques as possible. The Top Marketing Strategies, Offline Advertising, Viral Marketing and various other creative marketing methods will help in your search for more referrals. And don’t forget, keep searching for new ideas from fellow AGLOCO Members in forums and blogs.

Habit 2: Begin With The End in Mind

Have a goal of how many referrals you want in your network and keep working till you get it. We had our first goal of 1000 Direct referrals and got it within two months. So now on to our goal of 10 000 total referrals by the end of the year 2007.

Habit 3: Put First Things First

Prioritize what you want to do. It’s obvious that you need to email your friends first about AGLOCO. After that, you’ll need a blog followed by a splash page for your marketing campaigns. You can get a free blog at Blogger.com and free splash Page at AGLOCONNECT (view our free AGLOCONNECT Splash Page). Participate in forums and other social networks like Myspace. Get your site listed at AglocoDirectory and other Blog Directories / Topsites for free daily traffic. Don’t leave anything to chance.

Habit 4: Think Win / Win

So why would a new prospect join under you? What can YOU offer them which will be different from others before you think what can you gain from them in return? Our set thinking is that we help our downlines expand their network which in turns expand ours. More money for them means more for us. It’s a win-win relationship.

That is why, as of right now, we place AGLOCO Recruiting Tips on our blog and ALSO on our splash page. Because of this latest move of adding AGLOCO Referral Tips in our campaigns, our extended network is currently growing daily at a faster rate than our direct network and we’re hoping it will stay that way and overtake our overall direct referrals total in future.

Habit 5: Seek First To Understand, Then To Be Understood

Understand AGLOCO. Read their FAQ, news updates on their official blog, posts from other bloggers, articles and forums. Learn how successful members explode their network and then reach out to new prospects by following or improvisng their marketing efforts. It’s better than sitting down on the computer chair and hoping someone sign up under you by chance.

Habit 6: Synergize

Work with other bloggers, not compete with them. We are in the same boat so let’s ride it together. Feature their articles, ideas and links on your blog and they’ll do the same favour in return. Exchange links with other bloggers on your blogroll. Google likes it when you do that and place your site higher in their search engine.

Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw

Renew yourself. Relax, make new friends, take a break sometime and more importantly, enjoy the journey.

Blogger John Chow Uses Viewbar

The AGLOCO Viewbar - It Really Does Exist

May 15, 2007 at 8:34 am

We recently decided to give a Member who is not on the development team a chance to use and test a recent version of the AGLOCO Viewbar. John Chow has written (and posted a video) about his first look at the software. Here are his opening thoughts:

The AGLOCO Viewbar is real and it does exist. I know because I’m using it right now. Akshay Mavani sent me a beta Viewbar to try out and give my impressions.

The Viewbar software is a 1.8 MB download. When installed, it takes up 5 MB of space. The Viewbar is not any bigger than the Windows task bar. The version I am running shows ads by Google and Google is the default search engine. The ads are not targeted at the moment because it hits only one ad server. The rest of the ad servers have not been connected.
Besides allowing us to make money while surfing the Internet, the Viewbar does offer some useful tools. It has a nice Google search box and keeps tracks of all your favorites from Internet Explore and FireFox. There is also a quick link to the Windows calculator and calendar. I’m sure more features will be added in later versions.

From what I can tell from playing around with it, the Viewbar looks ready to go. The main sticking point is the integration with the ad servers. Once that problem is solved, everyone will be able to download it.

As Chow also notes, as soon as we are able to finish integrating the ad servers (which has unfortunately taken much longer than expected), we will begin our full-scale release. The current integration issues are coming from the ad server side, but we are having to adjust the Viewbar to compensate for this. We are working with our partners to correct this last remaining issue so the Viewbar can be released. Every day I keep my fingers crossed that it will be the day the ad server integration is completed so that AGLOCO can finally move into the next phase of business.

How AGLOCO Works

Today’s hottest Internet businesses are all about the power of social networks. Companies like MySpace, Facebook, and YouTube have become worth billions because businesses have realized that these social networks are generating huge advertising and marketing opportunities. As these social networks grow, the economic potential for its owners – and the advertisers who target the site’s users – is remarkable.

At AGLOCO, we asked a simple question: The users created the community, where’s their share of the profit?

It was from this question that AGLOCO set out to create the Internet’s first Economic Network, harnessing the power of Internet-based social networks to directly benefit the Members who help to create the community.

Becoming a member of AGLOCO is as simple as completing a brief sign-up page (name, age, location and email address.). Once you’re a Member, you will be asked to then download the Viewbar™ software. (Note: the Viewbar™ software is currently unavailable, as it is in closed testing. It will be ready for public download in a few weeks, and members will be notified when it is available.)

Search: Every time you use the Viewbar™ to do an Internet search, AGLOCO earns money from the search engine providers. (For example, Google pays as much as $0.10 on average for each search that is directed to its search engine.)

Advertising: The Viewbar™ itself displays ads that are targeted based upon the websites you’re visiting. When you click on an ad and make a purchase, AGLOCO receives a referral fee, which we pass on to our Members. (Please note: Individual members do not receive any compensation for clicking on ads in the Viewbar™, and the Viewbar™ can detect if someone is clicking ads in a fraudulent manner.)

Transaction commissions: Many major retailers pay commissions when you refer customers who make a purchase. AGLOCO collects that commission and passes it on to our members. (For example, Amazon pays an 8.5% commission to most websites who refer customers, and has cut deals for even larger percentages. The bigger the AGLOCO community, the better commission we can negotiate for our Members.)

Software distribution: Numerous software companies pay websites to encourage the download of new software releases (for example, Adobe’s Flash and Acrobat Reader software), and trial versions of new programs. AGLOCO members not only get access to the latest and coolest software, they get paid for it.

Service distribution: Many online service providers will look to the AGLOCO community as a source of new and active users for their services. (For example, eBay, Skype, and PayPal, among others, all pay fees to people who help them recruit new active users to their services)

Product distribution: When Members agree to use a product, such as cell phones, high-tech gadgets, office supplies, new credit cards or financial services, AGLOCO can collect referral fees. Some companies even offer special rebate and cash-back programs.
Members earn a monthly share of the AGLOCO revenue based on the use of the AGLOCO Viewbar™ that month.

Members earn part of the company based on the use of the AGLOCO Viewbar™ that month (currently a maximum of five hours are rewarded). Click here for details.

Members who use our referral system to help build the AGLOCO network will earn more. (AGLOCO only has significant value as a large network and people who help build it should be rewarded. – We also feel that the early users who told friends about YouTube or MySpace or even Google probably deserved something too, but no referral system was available to record their work).

Members will also get a share of any commissions AGLOCO gets when a Member purchases a product or service from an AGLOCO Sponsor company.

First, it costs nothing to Join and takes less than one minute.

Second, you can help build the AGLOCO community by recruiting new Members TODAY.

Right now, inviting your friends to join AGLOCO is as easy and productive as it will ever be – but you need to invite your friends before someone else beats you to them.

Remember, the bigger the AGLOCO community, the more attractive AGLOCO is to potential business partners and advertisers.

Recruit your friends and family by contacting them through email. (But remember we have a strict anti-spam policy.)

Use your blog and your existing social networks, such as MySpace and Facebook, to contact your friends and encourage them to join a new community that will actually let them earn money.

AGLOCO was also discussed in `The Economist Magazine’s` new Technology Quarterly Edition

AGLOCO had another record week of new Member signups last week, and we know that 100% of that is due to AGLOCO Member activity. According to Google more web pages are talking about AGLOCO (2,000,000+) than Kobe Bryant or Queen Victoria, and we are now creeping up on Lindsay Lohan and David Beckham.

AGLOCO was also discussed in the Economist Magazine’s new Technology Quarterly Edition. The article sub-heading reads “Online Advertising: New business models let communities of internet users control how their personal information is bought and sold.” The article discusses how Google users are not getting Google services for free, but rather how users trade personal information to Google in exchange for their services … and that Internet users are only now starting to realize their own value. Apparently, other companies are starting to realize that this is not a trivial issue (and AGLOCO’s privacy policy is very strict about not sharing this information).

On another topic, I’ve seen some comments (and gotten some emails) from Members “requesting” that their site be considered for the “interesting site of the day” that I always post at the bottom of my blog entries. With this blog getting thousands of visits each day, I can understand the fact that being selected can bring with it some notoriety, exposure, and traffic. So, I thought I’d talk about some things that might help your blog get noticed for this “honor”:

1. Post frequently. I’m not going to link to a blog where the most recent post is a month old.

2. Post something interesting and thought-provoking. One thing I love seeing is a new and interesting point of view that makes me, and the readers I send to the site, think. Also, simple explanations of AGLOCO or sample emails are good because I can point to your site or blog entry as a useful tool for Members looking to recruit others or learn more.

3. Make me aware of your site … nicely. With so many blogs about AGLOCO on the web, I can’t possibly get to them all. It helps when you point your site out (generally on comments to this blog). However, if you try to plug your blog 300 times and it gets annoying, I’ll probably not even look just based on principle.

4. There is no rule that says I can’t pick a site twice, so if I recognize you once, keep up the good work.5. The decision is totally subjective and if I don’t pick your site, it’s not because I didn’t like it. There may have just been other sites that caught my eye that time, maybe another post backed up something I said in that day’s blog, or I may be holding off to get to your site next time.

Keep up the great work as AGLOCO founders. We’re excited to really get this company off the ground soon.

AGLOCO is an Economic Network

AGLOCO is an Economic Network

I’d like to elaborate on what kind of community AGLOCO is.

Many of us are familiar with online social networks, such as MySpace and Facebook, as well as online professional networks, like LinkedIn and Doostang. These networks are based around communities communicating with one another in the personal (social) or professional environment.

AGLOCO is an Economic Network. An Economic Network is based on similar roots, but also adds the driving principle that individuals who have joined together as a group can be economically stronger than the individuals alone.

This is the driving principal behind any group trying to become stronger by joining forces: business groups (like trade associations and the Chamber of Commerce), countries (like the formation of NAFTA and the EU), or people (like labor unions and buying co-ops).

For individuals it is simple. They can demand more from the entities that had been controlling them and finally achieve the power they deserve. Much like segments of the labor force saw they were being exploited 100 years ago, today we see the Internet consumer being economically exploited by many Internet companies. AGLOCO wants to change that.

Individual Internet Users are already creating value all over the Internet, and only now are they coming together as Members of AGLOCO to claim that value. The purpose of an economic network is for the Members to acquire as much of the value they create as possible, and they shouldn’t have to change their Internet usage behavior to get it.

This is the whole basis for creating this company. The Internet holds many unique and valuable ways for individuals to “interact with each other and with groups.” Wikipedia is showing this with free access to information on the Internet. AGLOCO can accomplish the same thing with free access to value created on the Internet.

Thoughts and comments? I will have much more to say about this in the future.

AGLOCO is for ALL Members

I have blogged a lot lately about Members being AGLOCO founders and how the ‘Members who stick their necks out’ will benefit from AGLOCO’s success. And we must recognize the importance of these efforts. But EVERY Member needs to be able to share in the advantages AGLOCO has to offer. Without delivering on that promise, AGLOCO would fail.

I have seen talk about this for some time now, and I addressed one aspect of this in a previous blog post. Still, the overall value proposition for the “average” Member without any referrals goes back to what I had written before: “You have Viewbar on screen, we pay you for it.”

So, if a Member just wants to be a Member and not recruit new Members (and frankly, 80% to 90% will not), why should they join AGLOCO?

As some Members have also pointed out, I believe the answer to is that AGLOCO’s Membership benefits need to far outweigh any costs.

The key benefits a regular Member will get are a modest but steady financial payout and a functional toolbar that will be useful while browsing the Internet. Compared to what a Member with 2,000 referrals will get if AGLOCO succeeds, this may not seem like much. Some financial payout is still ‘infinitely’ more than these Members get with a Google or Yahoo toolbar, and over time the Viewbar and the AGLOCO website will become a community building forum with useful functionally.

Since AGLOCO Membership and Viewbar software is free, what cost is there?

Signing up takes less than two minutes, the Viewbar download is a one-time install process (updates will be processed automatically … more on that later), the Viewbar uses a small section of space at the bottom of the screen and the current limit of 5 hours of browsing each month is accrued passively while the Viewbar is active on the desktop. AGLOCO only has once a month Member update emails, so overall the ‘cost’ of AGLOCO has been kept very low.

Are there risks? AGLOCO could fail and this small effort could be wasted. But Member privacy is absolutely secure, and there is little else the Member is putting out there to be ‘risked’. Thus, I’d have to say that the risk is also small.

At AGLOCO, we are constantly thinking of the ‘regular’ Member. While we count on the incentives we provide to builders in order to grow the network, without a sound value proposition to ALL Members, surely the company will fail.

Viewbar Update: Our lead tech development engineer is still in Shanghai with the Viewbar team (now seven engineers). Cutting to the point, the current release date is now between 18 and 39 days from today (between Monday March 26th and Monday April 16th). I am told this is all a function of the QA testing results.

There has been a lot of blog discussion related to the technical specifications of the website, and the ‘comments’ section to the last post has acted as a forum for us to hear, respond to, and learn from Member feedback. Thanks to all those who shared their thoughts, both positive and constructive.

40 reasons why you should join AGLOCO

40 reasons why you should join AGLOCO

-You can make money safely, legitimately, and easily.

-It takes maybe three minutes to join.

-You need nothing more than a working computer connected to the Internet.

-You don't have to enter any sensitive information to join.

-You don't have to buy anything to join.

-You don't have to buy anything ever once you are a member.

-It's easy to cancel if you don't want to be a member any more.

-You'll only download a small free toolbar that won't install anything else on your computer, hog its memory, or read your keystrokes.

-You'll make the same amount of money even if you never click on anything.

-AGLOCO is the real deal, not some little scam. A good number of notable entrepreneurs are backing it. A Google search with keyword "agloco" will net you 1 million pages and counting.

-Very important: AGLOCO's business model has been tried before and proven to work. In fact, AGLOCO's predecessor paid out over $120 million to its members (this is what finally convinced me).

-You can dramatically increase your income by referring other people to AGLOCO, because...

-...AGLOCO pays you a portion of the surf money earned by those you referred up to 5 levels below you. So...

-You can recruit your friends and all make money together when you help them get referrals. Thus,

-The sooner you sign up, the more folks will come to you for info and the more likely it is that you will be the original seed of a large referral network in your community.

-You never have to read emails from people you don't know.

-You'll never be asked to send emails to people you don't know.

-You don't have to change anything you normally do on the Internet. You surf, AGLOCO pays.

-AGLOCO's revenue source is genuine: a Viewbar members use that shows targeted advertisements based on your surf history, with the money paid to advertise going back to the members. That's not magic; that's common sense.

-The Viewbar software you will download will not invade your privacy; it simply looks for keywords on the pages you view in order to show related ads.

-The Viewbar is maybe the size of your taskbar at the bottom of your screen - in other words, it's small and won't interfere with your browsing experience at all.

-AGLOCO has a thorough privacy policy that explicitly guarantees personal information will never be sold or given away.

-In fact, AGLOCO has not one but three agreements every member must agree to. The bases are covered.

-AGLOCO has a CPO - Chief Privacy Officer - whose responsibility is to make sure your privacy is never violated. His name is Ray Everett-Church, and he has more experience protecting privacy than probably anyone else on the planet.

-AGLOCO doesn't play; anybody providing fake information, signing up twice, or otherwise trying to cheat the system will be detected by AGLOCO's anti-hacking instruments. This is an honest enterprise through and through.

-By signing up, you support the company that will change Internet advertising for the better.
By signing up, you get to own a piece of the company that will change Internet advertising for the better. AGLOCO belongs to its members, which is to say that...

-...you will own stock (more if you refer people) in a company that is likely to become huge and thus your stock will be worth something awesome when AGLOCO goes public on the London Stock Exchange.

-You will likely find that other AGLOCO members, especially now in the early stages of AGLOCO, are some of the Web's savviest users and developers, and you can learn a bunch from them.

-You get to be on the cutting edge of World Wide Webware development, which means that as AGLOCO grows, its members will benefit from...

-...discounts when members buy from companies affiliated with AGLOCO;

-...possible help with spyware/antivirus protection (remember, everyone from Fortune 500 companies to millions of users will all benefit from a better browsing experience);

-...community forums where members can meet and discuss not just stuff, but ways and member-based projects to make AGLOCO better (it is our company).

-Our company is in good hands. AGLOCO pays 10% of its revenues to Infomediary Services Corporation (ISC), which is simply the management company that is responsible for managing AGLOCO. The other 90% of the revenue belongs to us. This 10% will attract the designing talent needed to make AGLOCO great. The corresponding 10% of AGLOCO's shares go to a foundation dedicated to providing every human being on Earth with Internet access.

-AGLOCO's management team will not get stock in AGLOCO. This ensures that those in positions of high responsibility don't hijack the company.
Though circumstances will vary, you can get paid and earn shares no matter where on Earth you live.

-If you choose, you can donate your earnings and shares to the charity of your choice.

-If you get involved in referring more members, you might be able to quit your day job and actually spend time at home, with your family, on vacation, wherever - and still make money.

-If AGLOCO fails, you won't lose any money because you paid none in the first place.

-AGLOCO ain't gonna fail. The last time such an opportunity existed, people made over $120 million in under 2 years, when far less people had Internet access and conditions weren't yet right for such a company to go public. Now, with record spending on advertising and calls from all sides for less irrelevant advertising and a better business/customer connection, the world is more than ready for an economic network that gives back to its users.

Now, if you aren't yet a member, after everything I just told you, you're not going to go and sign up?
